Board Member Expectations

All members elected or appointed to the Board of Directors for Silk Painters International have the following responsibilities:

• Each Board member must be a SPIN member in good standing.

• Members must read the bylaws and be familiar with them.

• Know the structure of the SPIN Board of Directors’ function and areas of responsibilities.  

• Be prepared to contribute their skills that best matches their area of interest.

• As a committee chair or officer, members will prepare a report no less than three days prior toBoard Member Expectations each Board Meeting.

• Members will read all the reports prior to each Board meeting and be prepared to ask questions if they have any.

• Understand that any conflicts of interest would require that Board member’s resignation.

• Unless there are extenuating circumstances, understand that missing three consecutive Board meetings would constitute their removal from the Board.
