Let's paint mermaid scales, a field of wildflowers, woodgrain, feathers, vines, snowflakes and more! With stenciling and transparent paint, many unexpected effects are possible. In this workshop, participants will explore various stenciling and mono printing techniques on silk with traditional silk paint, and can experiment with the vibrant, versatile fabric dye that is used by Broadway costume painters. Participants will have access to many pre-made and found stencils, and can cut their own.

By the end of this two day workshop, participants will have stenciled and mono-printed on silk and nylon, will have started (or added to) their own stencil library and will have designed, printed and painted at least one silk scarf.
