In May Glennis Dolce a.k.a. Shibori Girl led a group of silk aficionados to Japan where they studied the cultivation of silkworms, the looming and weaving of the silk threads and the traditional as well as the more modern methods of painting on silk. It was a fascinating and instructive journey into this most ancient of silk cultures.
