 Festival 2016: Silk in Transition

October 7-15, 2016

Arrowmont, school of arts and crafts

Gatlinburg, TN

Conference * Workshops *  Fashion Show  * Art Show

Member Art Show in Main Gallery

from October 1st – November 5th, 2016

This year’s Festival is all about the journey silk artists are taking from the more traditional paintings and wearable art… to transforming silk into new creations using innovative and inventive methods to create their own unique projects. We have been known to take the silk and burn, wax, bind, embellish, weave, knit and sew it into our interpretation of silk art.  Examples of which can be seen in silk bowls, multilayered silk, quilting and felting.

Come on this journey with us …
