4.These are Jacquard metallic resist. Once ironed on will remain and can also be used as permanent paints. They come only in small jars of 8 different colors. You canĀ wash, steam and dry clean as well. However the result is rather a stiff paint on silk, not the smooth one of dyes. 5.Water gutta by Sennelier is another water based resist. It also comes in black, gold and silver. 6.Jacquard gutta water based. Cheap and easy to clean out of your silk painting. Can be used with dyes as well as paints. You can also color the resist with water based dyes. You will have to then steam set your silk. 7.SilkPaint water soluble resist. A very versatile resist you can use it for the following; You can color it, or use it as stop-flo thinned with water. You can steam it ,remove with cool water. You can use it as fixative, and most important you can use it while it is wet. It comes in 2 different colors; clear and black. With the black it is not as smooth as the clear one. You must constantly keep the pressure of your fingers on the plastic bottle same strength, and it bubbles more than the clear one. 8.Gutta solvent must be worked in a very well ventilated place. You cannot use this for dry gutta, but you can use it for thinning and cleanup on any solvent Guttas. You cannot use this with water based guttas either. Editing and References
