Solvent Based Gutta
Authors: Nadia Azumi

1.Gutta is a solvent resist. In order to remove it you will have to send the silk to the dry cleaner. It is not a very easy type of resist  to work with as the water based ones.

Cans come in different sizes. It is cheap but not as good as the French Gutta.

2.Colored resists from Dupont. They come in a variety of colors and are sold in tubes. Iron on and washable. You can use it by cutting the tip of the plastic tube or use a metal tip which comes in different sizes to apply.

3.Gutta resist in tubes by another brand called Pebeo. This resist is also water based but works very well with silk paints like for example Dyna-flo.

4Permanent metallic. These are made by the Jacquard company
